KAI TRACID | Tracid Traxxx
It was in the year 1997 that a young, up-and-coming producer in Frankfurt developed a new formula for successful dance productions: Acid as an underground element mixed with Trance as the popular element resulted in a new blend as the basis for successful future dance productions. Kai Tracid was born.

Come and witness the global guru of trance, Kai Tracid. Kai is now the world’s most prolific trance music producer, the creator of trance classics 'Trance and Acid', 'Too Many Times' and 'Life Is Too Short', and the founder of his label Tracid Traxxx. Many believe Tracid Traxxx is, without having to exaggerate, one of the top vinyl labels in Germany with signed artists such as Hennes and Cold, A*S*Y*S* and Warmduscher.

He started in a small way with second-hand ‘home equipment’ and had to fight hard to assert himself against the more complex technology of his ‘established rivals’ in the industry. However in his studio he now has complex, state-of-the-art technology, alongside a few old analogue synthesisers. But what really counts, says Kai, is "a love of music, a feeling for new musical trends and, above all, remaining true to oneself."

Kai Tracid plays at the coolest clubs worldwide including Gatecrasher, Godskitchen and Europe's biggest dance event Love Parade. This New Years Eve, hearing the music will be like seeing the colours of trance and feel the power of acid, as Kai delivers a stellar performance at UTOPIA.

WARP BROTHERS | Groove Trax
The now legendary Warp Brothers were founded 3 years ago by the DJs Oliver Goedicke and Jürgen Dohr. Their first single Phatt Bass hit the German scene and made it to the top three in several dance charts, and since then their uplifting energetic style has swept over the world. Having travelled the US, Canada and Japan, they have played at awesome events such as Godskitchen, The Ministry of Sound World Tour as well as Two Tribes.

Comparisons to acts such as The Prodigy and Chemical Brothers run high, due to the creation of their individual unique sound. Requests for remix work has flooded the boys and now they have completed re workings of tunes by acts such as Black Spider, Norman Bass, Aquagen as well as the legendary Ultrasonic tune ‘Annihilating Rhythm’

Having very little time left to themselves due to the hectic production and DJ schedule, they have somehow found the time to start and run their own record label, called Groove Trax Records.

Since their first release, the quality tunes have kept coming including ‘Cokane’ and more recently working alongside former Public Domain front man MC Mallorca Lee ‘Going Insane’ was the end result. The main room at UTOPIA has never experienced a show as pumping as this one. Come and get warped!

STORM | Deconstructive Force Records
If there was one person that has shot up the ladder of hardcore supremacy over the past few years, it is definitely DJ STORM.

He has been creating a hell of a lot of noise for the past few years with his own blend of UK hardcore. Hard, uplifting… he takes influences from a number of styles and produces tunes that work well on the dance floor time and time again. He has received praise from his peers, as well as the artists he once looked up to for inspiration.

Storm once ran Raindance Records, which gave him the experience and understanding of the record business. 2003 saw him launch his very own label DECONSTRUCTIVE FORCE, which has now given him the outlet to release some of his awesome tunes.

His own works as well as awesome remixes of tracks such as N-Trance’s classic ‘Set You Free’ helped develop a reputation for quality production. Labels such as Hech-Tech, Blatant Beats, Silk Cuts and Essential Platinum have all snapped him up and has seen him working with artists such as Devastate and UFO

Raverbaby Records has recently seen the talent the man possesses, and his forthcoming release ‘Breathe’ along with Euphony featuring Daniella is ready to set the scene on fire. You think that’s enough? The inclusion of one of his creations has recently been signed to be included on the next Bonkers compilation, a feat that any aspiring hardcore producer would want to have next to their name.

We have given him the chance to rock the hardcore arena to its very foundations. Make sure you check this fresh new star of the hardcore world.

MISJAH  | X-Trax
With early dreams of producing music, Misjah bought his first piece of musical equipment at 13 years of age. He did everything he could to further establish his dream, and then finally he was able to buy a sampler, a keyboard and a sequencer. With these tools he was ready to release his first record under the name "Dyewitness". After a few releases, Midtown asked Misjah to start his own label for them; X-Trax was born December 1994. He started producing tracks and due to the increasing success of X-Trax he was sought after by artists such as Josh Wink and Jam and Spoon. His release ‘Access’ has become a huge anthem within the dance scene, and has been remixed and released a number of times over the years.

As a DJ he has his own minimal, hard, funky and pumping style. He uses his records as tools other than just simply playing them, in order to create a different sound which is why he always spins on 3 turntables. Misjah has played worldwide in countries including Germany, Holland, Switzerland, Scotland, the U.K. and the U.S.A. Misjah has also performed live at popular events such as Holland's biggest outdoor dance event Dance Valley.

Make sure you catch his dynamic performance as he is internationally renowned for his working of three turntables and his blend of techno.

SOUTHEND | The Winner Is…
Southend are one of the pioneers of the Australian dance music scene. Formed in 1991 when Stuart McCarthy & Steve Younan met Sameer Sen-Gupta (aka Pocket) cueing up for Depeche Mode Tickets. After playing a series of gigs in 1992 where vocalist Melinda Page joined the band, they were signed to seminal Sydney label Volition Records, home of Severed Heads, Boxcar and Itch-e & Scratch-e, where they had their first release with two tracks on the "High" compilation, Australia’s first ever all-local dance compile.

In 1993, their debut ‘Fanatical’ EP was released to glowing reviews and saw team up with DJ’s Paul Holden, Abel & Nik Fish to do remixes. It was when working on a remix of crowd favourite "Take Me Up" with the latter, that the National ARIA Top 10 hit single "The Winner Is…" was born. Their follow up single "If You Believe" also cracked the national Top 50 singles chart and was signed internationally to Muzik Research.

Southend performed at Big Day Out 1993-1996 as well as just about every major dance event at the time including Happy Valley, Field Of Dreams, Prodigy, Tribal & Big Love (Brisbane). Recently featured on FBi's "Sydney Retrospective", Southend have signed a new deal with Sydney label Yep! Records. Southend will perform production duties on upcoming releases from Alterboy, Nyalgodi-Scotty Martin, Old Man Time & The Keepers as well as a remix collaboration of Vagen’s classic ‘Buggin’ for Sydney based label Seascape Recordings. Stay tuned for new Southend material in 2004 as well as the re-release of the "Compilation" LP, first issued on Volition Records in 2000.
