A brand new night from party leaders Powerhouse Productions - the trusted name behind the Utopia, Godspeed and Prophecy parties - Manic aims to rip the roof off the Acer Arena with the latest and greatest masters of hard dance. Leading the explosive charge will be the invincible Raver Baby Crew from the UK. Hixxy (UK) Raver Baby mastermind Ian ‘Hixxy’ Hicks is also the mad scientist behind Bonkers, the biggest selling hardcore compilation series ever, now in its eleventh year. After running the influential Essential Platinum label in the ‘90s, he now commandeers the massive Raver Baby imprint. Mark Breeze (UK) Breeze has made serious waves in the hard dance fraternity on the back of tracks like ‘Jump a Little Higher’, ‘Let’s Fly’ and the top 40 track ‘DJ Nation’. With 20 years in the game, his tunes have earnt him pride of place on top-selling compilations like ‘Bonkers’, ‘Original Hardcore’ and most recently the three-disc monster ‘Clubland Xtreme Hardcore3’. Re-Con (UK) Re-Con has been carving it up lately with his patented fusion of propulsive, dark yet uplifting hardcore. Known as Mike Di Scala on his passport, he’s been in remix overdrive of late adding his talented touch to the likes of Styles & Breeze, Bimbo Jones and United in Dance. With a bag full of new tunes he can’t wait to christen, you can count on Re-Con to bring the goods. Darren Styles (UK) With his vast musical knowledge and experimental ability, Darren Styles has become one of the world’s greatest happy hardcore DJs. As part of Force & Styles, he tasted UK Top 40 success with tracks like ‘Pretty Green Eyes’ and the oft-remixed hit, ‘Heart of Gold’. These days, Styles delivers powerful hard trance, delivered most recently on his self-titled Raver Baby EP featuring cuts like ‘Save Me’ and ‘Skydivin’. MC Storm (UK) With more than ten years on the mic and appearances at Slammin’ Vinyl, HTID and Hardcore Heaven, Storm truly is a master of ceremony. He’s the MC of choice for fellow Manic DJs, Hixxy, Breeze and Styles, providing turbo-charged rhymes to their respective sounds. Storm was voted number one MC by the ravers at the 2003 Hardcore Heaven Awards party and the UK’s number one MC two years running. Slipmatt (UK) An impeccable DJ, flawless producer and master remixer, Matthew Nelson is revered as the ‘Godfather of Hardcore’, with a magnitude that’s impossible to measure. Having just finished his monstrous ‘Hardcore 2007’ album with Billy Daniel Bunter, Slipmatt is ready to demolish the dancefloor. You’ve been warned! DJ UFO (UK) Jason Holloway has been mixing it up for almost 20 years. In that time, he’s established himself as a world-beater in both production and the live arena. His tracks have graced esteemed imprints like Raver Baby, Jelly Baby and his own, Ufology Records, which he started in 2006. With ballistic bangers like ‘Heaven in My Heart’, ‘Tears ‘06’ and ‘Waiting’, UFO is guaranteed to send you hurtling on an interstellar trip. Joey Riot (UK) Immersed in dance music since his early teens, Joey Riot has beats in his blood. Kicking off as an MC in the scene, his love affair with hardcore quickly evolved to being behind the decks as well as in front of them. This year he’s cemented his stratospheric status with a barrage of huge tunes including ‘Into Tomorrow’, ‘Time of My Life’ and the Joey Riot EP. DJ Tom (DE) At the forefront of the new breed of German tech-trance/tech-house trailblazers, DJ Tom is one of his country’s brightest stars. As the brains behind the Beatz Only label, Tom aka Thomas Franke is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to decimating the dancefloor. Riding high with hits like ‘Take Me Baby’, ‘Da Da Da’ and ‘Alianz Aus Strom’, he’s also unleashed the stormin’ new mix compilation ‘Global Klubbing’.
